Rules for purchasing e-tickets
E-tickets can be purchased no later than 1 hour prior to the train's departure from the passenger's boarding station. Please note that the Express system has a break between 3:30 am and 4:00 am Moscow time. E-tickets cannot be issued on the website during this period.
- domestic services within the Russian Federation (operated by RZD, FPC, PCS, Grand Service Express, Tverskoy Express, and TCS), except for trains traveling to/from Kaliningrad Region that transit through the Republic of Lithuania;
- local trains (operated by Central Suburban Passenger Company) for the routes Moscow - Vladimir, Moscow - Kaluga, Moscow - Dubna, Moscow - Ryazan, Moscow - Sergiev Posad, Moscow - Tula, Moscow - Alexandrov, Moscow - Orekhovo-Zuyevo;
- international services to/from CIS countries (the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Moldova), the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Abkhazia;
- international routes (non-CIS countries): No.17/18 Moscow - Nice - Moscow; No.23/24 Moscow - Paris - Moscow, No.9/10 Moscow - Warsaw - Moscow, Including coupled cars for direct travel Moscow-Budapest, Moscow - Sofia, Moscow - Varna - Moscow, Moscow - Burgas - Moscow, Moscow - Bar - Moscow; No.21/22 Moscow - Prague - Moscow, including coupled cars for direct travel: Moscow - Vienna - Moscow, Moscow - Karlovy Vary - Cheb - Moscow, St. Petersburg - Prague - St. Petersburg, No. 32 Moscow - Helsinki and Allegro high speed trains from Russia to Finland.
Period when e-tickets can be purchased
Subject to availability, e-tickets can be purchased:
- for all trains and coupled cars on domestic routes, ticket sales start 90 days before the train's departure date (for some trains this period is 60 or 45 days);
- no earlier than 60 days in advance for all long-distance trains on domestic routes within the Russian Federation, as well as for international services (non-ClS countries) indicated in the table below;
- no earlier than 45 days in advance for all trains on routes to/from CIS countries, Baltic states, the Republic of Abkhazia, except for those indicated in the table below, for which the tickets can be sold up to 60 days in advance;
- no earlier than 30 days in advance for trains from Ukraine and Moldova;
- no earlier than 10 days in advance for local trains with reserved seats;
- no later than 1 hour prior to train departure from the passenger's boarding station;
- no later than 24 hours prior to train departure from the passenger's boarding station if it is a foreign train station and the electronic registration service is not available;
- no later than the day after the current day if the passenger's departure station is in Ukraine.

Sales on the 90th (60th, 45th) day for domestic trains in the UFS.Travel web system start at the same time as in the sales offices in the region of the train's departure.
The sale of tickets for trains from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan starts at 5:00 am Moscow time.
The sale of tickets for trains from Abkhazia, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, starts at 8:00 am Moscow time.
When Europe switches to winter time, the sale of tickets from Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia starts at 9:00 am Moscow time.
E-tickets are not issued during the routine break in the Express system
